Digantara MOSAIC: अब AI रखेगा अंतरिक्ष पर नजर

New Delhi: भारत का space-tech ecosystem तेजी से advanced हो रहा है। Bengaluru-based space technology startup Digantara ने MOSAIC (AI-powered Wide Area Sensing Architecture) विकसित किया है, जिसका उद्देश्य satellites, space debris और दूसरे orbital objects को autonomously detect और track करना है।

इस system की खासियत यह है कि इसे हर object को manually track करने के लिए लगातार human intervention की जरूरत नहीं पड़ती। AI और machine learning की मदद से MOSAIC आसमान के एक बड़े हिस्से को scan कर सकता है और वहां मौजूद stars तथा Resident Space Objects (RSOs) को identify कर सकता है।

एक रात में 400-500 Objects का Data

Digantara के founder और CEO Anirudh Sharma के अनुसार, MOSAIC की एक unit आमतौर पर एक रात में करीब 400 से 500 unique objects का data collect कर सकती है। Multiple sensor systems को अलग-अलग locations पर deploy करके coverage को और बढ़ाया जा सकता है।

यह capability ऐसे समय में महत्वपूर्ण है जब Earth's orbit में satellites के साथ-साथ space debris और दूसरे objects की संख्या लगातार बढ़ रही है।

MOSAIC कैसे करता है Space Tracking?

MOSAIC में wide-field optical sensing, onboard computing और AI/ML-based detection का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है। System को पहले से यह बताने की जरूरत नहीं होती कि किस specific satellite को देखना है। यह अपने field of view में objects को detect करके उन्हें identify और track करने के लिए designed है।

Digantara के मुताबिक, system में optical और electronics components मिलकर imaging, processing, communications, timing और autonomous operations को संभालते हैं। इसे solar power और battery backup के साथ operate करने के लिए भी designed किया गया है।

India के Netra Programme को मिलेगा Support

MOSAIC भारत की broader Space Situational Awareness (SSA) capabilities को मजबूत कर सकता है। इसका काम orbit में मौजूद objects के बारे में लगातार information जुटाना है, जिससे satellites की movement और संभावित collision risks को बेहतर तरीके से समझने में मदद मिल सकती है।

यह भारत के Netra programme जैसी space surveillance efforts के साथ broader orbital monitoring ecosystem में योगदान कर सकता है।

India के बाहर भी लगाए जाएंगे Observation Points

Digantara का लक्ष्य केवल India तक सीमित नहीं है। Reports के मुताबिक company अपने surveillance network को Namibia, Chile और New Mexico जैसे locations तक expand करने की दिशा में काम कर रही है, जबकि Hawaii में भी deployment की योजना बताई गई है। अलग-अलग geographic locations से observations मिलने पर orbital coverage और tracking continuity बेहतर हो सकती है।

Satellites और Space Debris के लिए क्यों जरूरी है?

आज communication, navigation, weather forecasting और कई दूसरे essential services satellites पर निर्भर हैं। अगर orbit में मौजूद किसी satellite और दूसरे object के बीच collision का risk हो, तो accurate tracking data बेहद महत्वपूर्ण हो जाता है।

MOSAIC जैसे systems satellites की position monitor करने, orbital predictions को improve करने और संभावित collision risks को identify करने में मदद कर सकते हैं।

India के Space Security Ecosystem के लिए बड़ा कदम

Digantara का MOSAIC भारत की indigenous space surveillance capability को मजबूत करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण development है। AI-powered autonomous monitoring के जरिए India अपने orbital environment को ज्यादा independently monitor करने की क्षमता विकसित कर रहा है।

 Digantara का MOSAIC सिर्फ satellites को देखने वाला system नहीं है। इसका broader goal space domain awareness को बेहतर बनाना है—जहां AI, autonomous sensors और orbital intelligence मिलकर India को space में क्या हो रहा है, उसे तेजी से समझने में मदद कर सकते हैं।
